As per the notification, it gives a golden opportunity for young aspirants who desire to join UP Police.

For the post of Resident Citizen Police (Civil Inspector), both male and female candidates are applicable, but for the post of Reserved Territorial Armed Constables only male candidates will be applicable female candidates are not applicable

Eligibility Criteria

A. Age Limit as on 01-07-2018

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years (for both men & women)
  • Maximum Age: 22 Years (for Men)
  • Maximum Age: 25 Years (for Women)

B. Educational Qualification

Candidates must be 12th passed or similar as per recognized by the government of India.

C. Minimum Physical Criteria

1. For Men:

  • Minimum Height: 168cm for General, OBC and SC Candidates.
  • Minimum Height: 160cm for ST Candidates.
  • Minimum Chest: 79cm unexpanded and 84cm expanded for General, OBC and SC Candidates.
  • Minimum Chest: 77cm unexpanded and 82cm expanded for ST Candidates.

Note: Minimum 5cm expansion of the chest

2. For Women:

  • Minimum Height: 152cm for General, OBC and SC Candidates.
  • Minimum Height: 147cm for ST Candidates.
  • Minimum Weight: 40 Kilogram for all Candidates.

Exam Pattern and Selection Process

Selection Process will be in three phases:

A) Objective Written Exam

  • There will be an objective paper of 300 marks.
  • Paper will be consisting of questions from General Knowledge, Hindi, Quantitative Aptitude, Mental Ability and Reasoning.
  • Negative marks will be given for wrong answers.

B) Documents Verification and Physical Test

  • After getting selected for the written exam candidates will be called for the verification process.
  • There will be a document verification process.
  • After successful verification candidates will go through the physical test.

C) Physical Test:

  • For Male Candidates: 4.8 kilometres run to be completed in maximum 25 minutes.
  • For Female Candidates: 2.4 kilometres run to be completed in maximum 14 minutes.
